Privacy policy
Last updated October 17, 2026
This policy explains what NODA (“we” — Elunna LLC, doing business as Noda Pet) collects when you use the app, why, and who else handles it. We don’t sell personal data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t take affiliate money.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, and your Google account’s basic profile if you sign in with Google.
- Your dogs’ profiles: name, breed, birth date, weight, sex, activity level, allergies, health conditions and current food, as you enter them. Lab results you saved before we switched off lab uploads stay on the profile and still inform grades.
- Your dog’s photo, if you add one: stored privately, shown only to you on your dog’s profile, and deleted when you remove it or delete the dog.
- What you scan: the ingredient list read from your label photos (or typed in), the product name, and the results. We send label photos to our AI provider to read them; we don’t keep the photos, only a fingerprint (hash) of each so the same photo isn’t read twice.
- Billing: your plan and its status, and a reference to your Stripe customer record. Card details go to Stripe; we never see or store them.
- Usage and errors: which pages you use and whether scans succeed (product analytics), and technical details when something breaks (error reports).
Why
To run the service you asked for: read labels, grade food for your dog, keep your scan history, take payment, and fix problems. We use aggregated usage data to improve the app.
Who else handles your data
We use these services to run the app. Each receives only what its job needs.
- Supabase — database, sign-in and file storage (dog photos)
- Anthropic — the AI that reads labels and writes analyses; it receives label photos or text and the dog profile details that shape the grade. Anthropic’s commercial terms do not allow it to train its models on this data.
- Tavily — web search, only when a label can’t be read; it receives the product name
- Stripe — payments
- Vercel — hosting
- PostHog — product analytics
- Sentry — error monitoring
- Resend — billing emails
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google
We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you signed in, and our analytics provider uses cookies or similar storage to count visits. [Describe the analytics consent choice once decided.]
How long we keep it
We keep your account, dog profiles and scan history while your account exists. You can delete a dog’s profile, or your whole account and everything in it, in the app: Profile → Delete account. Deletion is immediate and can’t be undone. You can also email elunna.llc@gmail.com and we’ll delete it for you. Payment records stay with Stripe, Google Play or Apple, which keep them by law.
Your choices and rights
You can see and correct your dogs’ profiles in the app at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your data or to delete it by emailing elunna.llc@gmail.com. [Add state-specific rights, e.g. California, after legal review.]
Children
The app is not meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and each account can reach only its own records in our database. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you as the law requires.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell you by email or in the app.
